If they no longer need our help, we can pick another deserving person or project. Dee said that with all the budget cuts, the school should be the recipient of funds from this project.
LABOR DAY PARADE & ACTIVITIES – Jan McGonigle
Discussion was held regarding Pride having a sound system that can be installed on a vehicle for the purpose of driving the streets of our community to announce the parade. This has been done in the past by Charlie Jardine and was very successful. It was decided that there was not enough time to get a parade and other activities together for Labor Day 2011. However, we can work on this for 2012 as an activity to go along with the Smithsonian exhibit….if we are chosen. Other discussion followed and it was suggested that we could possibly have a family park day in 2011.
